  The Morning Star public house stands in the centre of the
   village on The Green. The building dates from the
   18th-century.

   Originally a private house, it did not become a beer house

   The establishment came under new management in January
   2006 with Sid Smith as the new landlord. 

    The aim is to create a 'village pub' atmosphere. Facilities
     include Pool Table, Darts, Juke Box as well as Sky Sports
    TV. In addition, regular fun nights are run.

     The Morning Star also sponsors the Datchet Village football
     team.
