Around 1966, Pat and Rod Peirson joined a local evening class to learn
the art of pottery.
That initial pursuit of a hobby led them to become expert potters
in their own right producing
some elaborate pieces.

On retiring in 1982, they installed a studio at their home equipped with wheel
and kiln.They
adopted the name Kinross Pottery after the name of their
house. In the following years, they
sold their wares at local fairs, with local charities benefiting
from the proceeds.
