Hotels and Pubs

HOTELS PUBS

Datchet has two hotels:

   Over the years the number of pubs in Datchet
   has decreased. In 1990, The Sportsman
   (later known as The Plough) closed and the
   premises became Mulligan's Fish Restaurant.
   More recently,The Rising Sun (formerly The
   Drum and Monkey) closed for business in
   August 1999.

Currently there are two operational pubs:

The Morning Star

The Royal Stag

The famous book Three Men in a Boat by Jerome K Jerome featured both the Manor Hotel and The
Royal Stag pub.
