The Datchet
Horticultural show is an annual event of great
importance in the village. Although the first written
record
of the show is dated 1947, it is thought that the
show dates
back to 1894.
The show is held each year in
Datchet Village Hall. There
are some 40 trophies to be won covering the wide
range
of entry classes.
There are around 150 classes
which include displays of
flowers, vegetables, art, preserves/cakes and
photography.
There are also classes dedicated to exhibits from
children.
There is a show committee
chaired by Mrs Joan Mason
(Tel : 01753 541499).
The show co-ordinator is Mr Tim
Marshall with Mrs Barbara
Street acting as Secretary.
