History 
The three local churches (St.Mary's, St.Augustine's and the Baptist Church,
jointly created this Parish Centre in 1994. The building is located on the north side
of The Green and was built around 1750. The Bridge is now the multi-functional
centre of the village.

WHAT IS IT?  
The Datchet Help Point is run by volunteers and located through and to the 
back of The Bridge tea shop at the Datchet Ecumenical Parish Centre
(which is registered as a charity).

Datchet Help Point is largely funded by the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead 
and a promotional grant by CCB.

We are always looking for resourceful, friendly and helpful
volunteers. If you would like to consider doing voluntary
work at the Datchet Help Point, please leave a message :

WHAT DOES IT PROVIDE?

Staffed by friendly and resourceful volunteers, the Help Point offers an invaluable 
single source of local information for the village - FREE or at cost.

HELP POINT SERVICES 

Photocopying : still only 5p per A4 sheet or 10p per A3 sheet (each side)
(Assistance available from The Bridge tea & coffee shop when Help Point not staffed)

Borough Councillors' Surgery (10am - 12noon, 2nd Monday each month)
If you have any questions, problems or complaints, have a 'face to friendly face'

conversation with those who can do something about it.        NEW!  

50+ Specials : (10am - 1pm most Thursdays) :
General information for residents aged 50+ years will be on 11am - 1pm
on the first Thursday of each month, plus:

* Monthly one-hour Mobile Library stop                                
* Intro to computers and internet access classes - Soon        
        * Support for Carers - Soon                                                         
     * Info on Datchet Village Society                                               
              * Visits from trained Specialists on 3rd Thursday of the month            
                 * Age Concern (see later)                                                                       

                         Age Concern Slough & Berkshire East:                             
Regular surgery from 11am - 1pm on 2nd Thursday of each month. It provides
information and advice on issues affecting older people, including claiming
                 benefits, council tax, housing & pensions.
